What exactly is “Coffee & Conversation”?

One common question I hear from clients is “What are other nonprofits doing?”

There is something comforting in knowing you’re not alone. It is comforting to know that someone else arrived at the same conclusion as you. As humans, affirmation of our decisions is often received at work, but during the last two years, it has been harder than ever to connect with others. The lack of in-person interaction can leave our need of affirmations lacking, making us question ourselves. Have you wondered more than usual in the last two years if you were losing your mind? Trust me, you weren’t alone in that thinking.

Coffee & Conversation started with the goal of connecting us humans, professionals, and individuals working in the nonprofit space. Even if you do have a supportive team, it can be great to talk with someone outside of your employer. Brainstorming, troubleshooting, and being vulnerable with someone you don’t share time with on a regular basis can be liberating! Allowing those with like minds, ideas, and motivations to gather and share in a safe-space is the goal of Coffee & Conversations.

At Taking Bids, we welcome anyone in the nonprofit space. Come, share, and connect! You are welcome and you are valued. We all have something to learn, something to share, and something to offer.

Our next Coffee & Conversation is March 30 at 10am CT via Zoom. Are we all over Zoon - yep! But, we hope you join us anyway. Just think, you don’t have to put on pants, do your make-up, shave, or drive anywhere! Tomorrow we are going to discuss motivating Board and Committees.
